changed to Caitlyn Marie Jenner — and his gender was changed to
female as well.

The Los Angeles Superior Court approved the name and gender
change documents, a spokeswoman confirmed.

The official paperwork put a legal stamp on the outward
transition Jenner started a long time ago.

Jenner, 65, currently the star of “I Am Cait,” a reality show
about her new identity, wasn’t in court Friday.

Her attorneys were there for what was a very brief hearing that
included a judge asking if anyone present had any objections —
but there were none.

Jenner, the former patriarch of the Kardashian family, was a

removing his male reproductive organs now or in the future? Doesn't the
law require that he have female genitalia - or some reasonable fascimile
- to be considered a female?

No. A person in some jurisdictions is legally considered female if she
identifies and comports herself as such. I guess it's like common law
marriage in those jurisdictions that still recognize it. If people
consider themselves married and act accordingly, they're married under
the law.
